I am an elite pole vaulter, fitness coach, and real estate investor, chasing wild dreams. Instead of choosing to live the corporate life and sit behind a desk 40+ hours a week, I rebel in my pursuit of what success looks like to me.
Success is happiness and fulfillment in chasing our best potential and innermost desires. It is building something uniquely your own. Success is doing what you are called to do and enjoying every minute of it, including the ups and the downs. Success is continual growth.
Rather than work under a system that tells me how to think, act, and live, I am shaping my days to fit my dreams, desires, and overall vision for how I want to live. I am empowering others to tap into the best version of themselves and gain full control of their destiny - to take that leap. Everything we want is on the other side of fear.

I am an athlete, coach, real estate appraiser, and last but not least, I am a lucky wife to the love of my life :)

This blog will focus mainly on my lifestyle as it relates to fitness and mindset, because that is why I am here to help YOU reach your fitness and life goals!
To give you a little background on my athletic journey, I am from Louisville, Kentucky, where I began pole vaulting my sophomore year of high school. I set the state record and went on to compete at the University of Arkansas, where I qualified for DI NCAA outdoor track & field championships, was a part of two national championships titles, six SEC championship titles, and two SEC triple crowns.
After finishing up my NCAA eligibility, I took the first two years out of college off from serious training and competing so that I could devote my time to being a full-time MBA student while holding a GA position in the Arkansas athletic department. I had my hands full between school and working in athletics. I loved that time in my life, but I still had an itch to keep vaulting. I knew I had more in me, so I decided that I had some unfinished business left to take care of.

I moved to North Carolina in my first year back to training full-time, where I could be with an elite training group with similar aspirations and lifestyles as post-collegiate athletes. In that first year, I had a true comeback year, where I qualified for my first USA National Championships and placed 7th. I hit two new personal bests indoors and outdoors, jumping over my previous personal best a total of six times.

Fast forward to where I am now - eight years out of college athletics (crazy how time flies), happily married living in High Point, North Carolina. I have my sights set on qualifying for the Olympic trials next year and there's more work to do to make that happen, but I believe I can get there with consistent, deliberate, and positive effort.
Thank you, Scott Houston, for supporting me in my dreams and making me happier than I could ever imagine.
