The indoor season ended on a positive note at Arkansas! I placed 3rd, clearing 4.30m as my opening bar (highest opening bar ever) and took good shots at 4.45m which would be a lifetime best from 6 lefts.
My ankle was hurting pretty bad. I did nothing the whole week (besides one bike workout) leading up to the meet to rest it. My ankle still hurt the day of the meet and it was my first time trying to run on it. I felt pain and wasn't sure I could even run full-go. I debated competing twice during warm-ups but impressed with my abilities once I reached the decision to jump in the meet.
Now I need to learn how to get there mentally sooner! When I reach that mindset internally, without any external influences in the future very quickly, my performance will be hard to beat. I am left feeling very confident going into outdoors when I can try out a 7 left approach.
