Ready or not, adventure in Arkansas awaits

Getting ready for my last meet of the indoor season and I am struggling to walk due to an ankle injury. My ankle has been bothering me for a few weeks now. I jumped through it in competition on Saturday, also hit it on the pole over one jump. Now I am paying the price!

It is not ideal to be injured. But sometimes being injured gives you that edge to be fearless and decisive in attacking the few attempts your body will allow.

I am resting for a few days and that will hopefully continue to calm things down. If I can get down the runway on Sunday, I will be leaving nothing on the table! It may be sore and hurting but I will be capable of doing great things.

Worst case scenario, I will be unable to compete in the meet. But I am going on this trip for more than just jumping myself. I am going for an adventure to my alma mater and to help coach my teammates! Hoping for a healthy body to jump.

Regardless, it will be a fun adventure! Life is bigger than pole vaulting. I will keep a fun, positive attitude and do my best with what I have, where I am.
